Last year I was encouraged by a lecturer to join a conference. Long-short story, we found academicsworld and applied for it. I was stupid to not question even the smallest doubt. I was scammed. Here is a warning for fellow scholars and the whole process. At first it was a smooth process. The admin replied to my emails frequently and I was happy throughout the process. However, I did not question the warning Hotmail attached to each and every one of the emails. What surprises me is, victims of the same scam, never post anything about it on their facebook page. I have searched for possible fraud relating to academicsworld.org but none turns up. If only there was a review or a comment that said ‘fraud’, I wouldn’t have joined the bandwagon and got my paper and money taken away. payment proof that my lecturer helped transferring because I don't have credit card they become hard to reach soon after payment two days before the conference, they sent an email saying the conference got cancelled. plus those links they put are suspicious. A victim of the same scam contacted me and told me that she threatened to sue them to finally get answer. I sent with my original email used to contact academicsworld.org but my email seems to have been blocked. So, I used another email as advised. I got the reply and softcopy of the proceeding. As shown below, they said they would send the actual copy in 2-3 days. We will see whether there is any package. Let's call this victim friend, M. She asked me to send my proceeding to her and to our surprise. There is identical journal in both our proceedings as shown below. This is from my proceeding softcopy Below is the same journal from M's proceeding. I hope this post opens eyes to scholars out there. This has to stop. UPDATE:
I received an email invitation for international journal. The sender said he saw my paper in IJMAS and I went to check it. Turns out my paper got published and was indexed in google scholar as well. I still do not know what to make out of this but I still wouldn't recommend academicsworld to any fellow scholars out there.

Thank you for leaving this message. I was going to attend one of their conferences this year but you have made I change my mind before making any type of payment. Best regards.

Academics World is fraud because it sells conferences that don't take place. Instead, it cancels it in the last moment, as happened to you and others. The role of the payment receiving and perhaps sponsoring organization INSTITUTE FOR TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH should be investigated.

I went through a great deal of stress with them. I don't recommend dealing with them. It's a scam. Same thing happened to me..conference cancelled, no refund...It's a predatory business that runs in India..no phone number that you can contact..they are professional scammers ..I sent an email to all my colleagues also a number of universities in my country warning them of dealing with them

If you noticed that the publisher/conference organiser has a conference scheduled for every day, every month and all over the world then it is a scam.

OMG. Exactly the same happened to me in 2018! Few days before my trip when I booked my flight & hotel conference was cancelled.
