Cosplay is derived from 'costume and play'. It is an activity where people dress up just like characters from manga (Japanese comic), Japanese animation, and other variety of other fictional entertainment.
Although cosplay is still a fairly new culture to the world and there is part of society that still sees cosplay with sinister look. Cosplay is positive if you do it positively. Of course, there are negative impacts from cosplaying which does not appropriately suit morality. I feel more of the positivity than the negativity. Cosplay was the reason I found my confidence and self-esteem. Personally, I think cosplay is the same as drama or stage-play because you take on a role and you work your best for it. Except, in cosplay, you don't really have to make a skit and perform on stage. Here are the points how cosplay liberated me from my complex. Cosplay is fun!

Now before you say anything such as, "But constructing a world or a universe is much more harder!" I would like to emphasize that writing generally is not easy. It is a game of mind and pen! It is true that constructing a world or a universe is difficult, but constructing a world based on known facts and mysteries? Oh boy, it will take the same efforts.
When you construct your very own universe or world, you will have to remember every single rules that you have made. You need to recheck, and writers who write historical-fiction also need to recheck until their hair falls out to reach satisfaction (the season on my head is constant Fall). Let's just enjoy the process, aye? Actually, I guest-posted last year in October but I only updated the news on instagram.
I guest-posted again today and I have this guilt gnawing at me for not sharing. So, here I am with the update. Mental awareness is at an alarming state. Students, elementary or even undergraduate, suffer them daily and become victims to violence under the pretense of "playing and joking around".
Bullies do what they do because of the thrill of having power over inferior ones. They do that because they are jealous of something they do not possess whether material or inmaterial. Once they have tasted the sense of superiority, they are tempted to feel it again and again. It is why bullying does not stop. |
