Here is a brief look of it!

Starting from chapter 71, Kimetsu no Yaiba took place in Yoshiwara, the famous red district during Edo to Taisho period in Japan.
Many may not find any difference because most characters are wearing traditional kimono. However, question surfaces when Sumiko (Tanjiro), Inoko (Inosuke), and Zenko (Zenitsu) were sold by Uzui to different houses that we would know as Okiya (where geisha, oiran, and kamuro live together). Are they sold to houses as simply maid or apprentice to courtesan/oiran? I have one long unpublished work called Aki no Mikazuki 秋の三日月 also known as Autumn Crescent Moon. I began writing it when I was in high school about the same time I wrote Botan –peony-
I have a total of 15 chapters written since high school and I have decided to rewrite it. This is a short entry about Hijikata.
I love how he is like a durian. All pricky outside but actually soft inside. I love him. I wrote previously about Get to Know Oiran which briefly explained who Oiran is and how it was in the Edo period. I also explained how Oiran was high on demand with higher price than Geisha. Geisha won over Oiran in popularity and Oiran lost its business slowly which eventually banned by the Japanese government.
Here are skills that made Oiran special: Everyone knows about geisha or artist literally, but what about oiran?
Oiran used to be higher than geisha back in Edo period. They wore better garments and more flamboyant hair ornaments parallel to the skills they possessed. Yet, people think they are the same as geisha. So, who were oiran? Fun Facts Shinsengumi Members
Shinsengumi was an organization under the sponsorship of Aizu Clan during the Bakumatsu Period in Japan. They were consisted of men who strived to become samurai, retainers of Shogun. They were peasants and they did it as a form of patriotism and nationalism to their beloved motherland. They, too, had sides. Here are some fun facts I would love to share Now before you say anything such as, "But constructing a world or a universe is much more harder!" I would like to emphasize that writing generally is not easy. It is a game of mind and pen! It is true that constructing a world or a universe is difficult, but constructing a world based on known facts and mysteries? Oh boy, it will take the same efforts.
When you construct your very own universe or world, you will have to remember every single rules that you have made. You need to recheck, and writers who write historical-fiction also need to recheck until their hair falls out to reach satisfaction (the season on my head is constant Fall). Let's just enjoy the process, aye? When America arrived in Japan in 1853, why did Japan refuse? Why did Japan agree later on to signing the treaty?
What supported the formation of treaty with America? Why was Japan anti-westerners? Shinsengumi was mentioned in Botan -peony-, my novel, but who were they? From the name, 'shinsengumi', an image of an organization might pop up in your mind. Yes, Shinsengumi was an organization.
Shinsengumi was an organization built in 1863 in Kyoto, Japan. In the beginning, it was not called Shinsengumi but Roshigumi, which means 'a group of roshi'. Roshi literally means masterless samurai. As their name states, they were not samurai which was an honorable status that allowed men to serve the Shogun. Men of roshigumi were men of lower castes(merchants, farmers, fishermen.) |
